Don’t let Trenge catch wind of that

Hahn has done a remarkable job at South Dakota State. His connections are second to none and he's a tireless recruiter. He would be an incredible hire.

Sweet spot is 17 seasons. Gerry and Thad. I suspect Pat could move after 2026 season. He will be about 60 then and move onto a cushy Associate Athletic Director role or something in Advancement Office and retire at 70.

I do believe we lost something when Hughes left. Some level of intensity or the secret sauce. Only way to get more of that is bringing in more wrestlers to LVWC as athletes/assistant coaches. Trenge just left Parkland as Head Coach, so possibly he might be more available for LVWC as an instructor.

...and Jason Borelli.
I don't think Borelli left Stanford because the grass was greener at American; he left because of the heavy dose of Agent Orange dropped on Stanford's grass.

I don't know that we'll be looking for a new head coach anytime soon, but the trend is towards younger coaches. Borelli is younger than Ayres, McCoy, and probably Dillon too. The times I've spoken with him he appears to be intelligent and forward-looking, very involved in things like improving seeding (something we'd all like to see). He's the kind of guy we should talk with.
My post had more to do with Borelli going to Stanford, which ended up not being as lucrative as he thought it would be.
Kerry fell into the Stanford trap also. Wrestling obviously an after thought there. Had to fight to revive it with donors giving hell to the AD. Then the unbelievable high cost of living in Palo Alto area. Literally, you'd have to pay the Head Coach $500k to be in the ballpark.

The big one will be Jordan Burroughs. This will be his last cycle going for Olympics. He likely will be highly prized head coach and will draw in the athletes.

Burroughs could bring in some Iranian wrestlers. Apparently we have many Iranian gradstudents now.

Just what we need—Iranian spies at Lehigh like the Communist Chinese that infiltrated Lehigh several years ago.

Why would assume Jordan Burroughs would become a head coach with no coaching experience?
