Well, Myron Roderick (long time ago), then John Smith were the youngest-ever coaches (no experience); Sanderson was an asst only a couple of yrs before the pressure to promote was too great (not great enough to avoid losing him prematurely to PSU). Bruce Baumgartner was older than dirt when retiring from wrestling but didn't wait very long to become Edinboro head coach

Penn might consider Burroughs since he's from a Philly suburb and already committed to their RTC

If there was anyone worth taking a flyer on as a head coach with no coaching experience, he is the guy (wrestling and class/maturity wise).....would not shock me in the least, there are a lot of programs who would say why not? What is the downside to giving him a shot?.....

Burroughs funds 100% of his family through wrestling. While appearances still bring money while he is on US National Team, this will likely decline over the rest of his life.

Wrestling has been his life. At a college, he will be high profile and if given a percentage of wrestling camp revenue, will do quite well. The model is Cael Sanderson who pulls in close to $1 million per year.

Burroughs will need those multiple buckets of income stream from wrestling. I have no doubt he will be a Head Coach in college.

Interesting phrasing. Are there family members that Burroughs would potentially not contribute toward their cost of living? Do we know for a fact that his wife does not work?
