Lehigh Wrestling 2018 Recruiting Class

Looks like possibly AJ could be last one still wrestling come Spring.

Name Proj. Wt. Hometown/High School
AJ Burkhart 133/141 Athens, Pa./Athens
Josh Humphreys 149/157 St. Albans, W. Va./Parkersburg South
Elijah Jones 197 Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown
Jaret Lane 125/133/141 Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia
Brian Meyer 157/165 Phillipsburg, N.J./Phillipsburg
Mitchell Polito 125/133 East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick
Connor Schram 125/133 Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan (Stanford)
Andrew Shedleski 184/197 Selinsgrove, Pa./Lewisburg

Projected 6 RD12 came in same year as Josh Humphreys. Josh would have been likely 7th. Another question would be how many other Top 20 wrestlers from HS Class of 2018 who fell into the same issue of timing of using a medical year the way Josh did and were denied eligibility. It is a strange outcome of the rule. Sammy will get another year next year added on taking him to 7th year NCAA due to horrific circumstances. 7 years, it seems just like yesterday he was coming up from 8th grade at Nazareth.

157 NCAA Those whose first season was 2018-2019 season same as Josh.
#1 Sammy Sasso Ohio State...he gets another year due to gunshot medical.
#3 Peyton Robb Nebraska
#5 Jared Franek Iowa
#8 Brock Mauler Missouri
#9 Jacori Teemer Arizona State
#11 Will Lewan Michigan
#14 Michael Blockhus Minnesota
#25 Brayton Lee Indiana

Wow. 7 at 157, not counting Sasso.
