A lot of cream puff techs and falls.
Re: Lehigh in Top 10 both Techs anf Falls
Not necessarily. With the 3 point takedown, the major and tech have been a bit cheapened. I was discussing this last weekend with some people as to whether the change to more points should also result in an adjustment as to what constitutes a major and a tech fall? I know I've seen more "takedowns and let 'em ups" this year. Not sure I've seen more near falls. Don't get me wrong. I favor the new points scoring as I think it has resulted in more "aggression" in making the takedown more valuable; but I am not convinced that more near falls have been occurring.

Amazing that that's the take. He's still first! Everybody in the country using the same rules.ngineer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:29 pmNot necessarily. Griffin has nine falls. Lang on 11/5; Crook on 11/12; Bahl, Saunders, and Rooks on 12/22; Reicin on 12/29; Farber, Heistand, and Seefeldt on 1/5. That ties him for 5th place on Lehigh's all-time freshman list with Trenge and Craig. Austin Meys leads with 11 falls in 31 bouts. Trenge and Craig had 38 and 42 bouts. Griffin has 21. All his pin victims are Div I wrestlers; only two are freshmen.

Saunders listed as Coe for some reason on the OPC rather than Cornell. I guess they only counted DI matches.jdalu75 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 12:40 pm Griffin has nine falls. Nate Wade also represented Coe College in the Sheridan, but only in Lehigh's results. On the Cornell page they're shown representing Cornell.

And if we had NO ONE at the top f these categories I suspect the grousing would be incessant.
