Re: District 11 Talent
So should Mike Grey. I was just reading up on that one again recently after somebody mentioned it in here - blech. But cheer up Mookie. It's a good season.
It was nice seeing Lachman and Ziegler at the Bucknell dual the other night. There was a posse of some other guys I didn't recognize, and also Collin Gaj decked out in Lehigh stuff. You never know where any of these things can lead. I'm going to go to the prep championship next weekend and cheer on those guys who picked Lehigh. It would be nice if other Lehigh fans do that - whoever runs the FB page should at least mention it.

Illinois can have Ruth. Not worth the headache.

Whoa now! That’s pretty unfair. A young kid, hanging with the wrong people, makes a stupid decision. He paid a steep price for his actions. Lost his spot with Lehigh, was publicly shamed and humiliated. Illinois takes him and his famous older brother. Things are working out for him.
Everyone deserves a second chance in life. I root for him to succeed in life. Sorry he’s not with us.

Edmond is not the first Wrestler whose success is at least partly due to the tutelage of an older brother. Or was worse when it was lacking.
The Banach twins might not not have been as great had they been cleaved together rather than cleaved apart. And bringing in their older brother was likely an act of genius on Gables part.

Redemption. It was a good move to follow his brother Ed Ruth and go to Illinois. It is working out and probably a life changer.lu_alum wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2024 8:23 pmIllinois can have Ruth. Not worth the headache.
