Herceg goes down in defeat 7-4 and he's eliminated.

No more wrestling for the B&W tonite.

I was kind of surprised by the thin programs too, esp. since Bucknell did such a great job in 2017. Their EIWA website is terrific, in case anyone hasn't seen it: https://bucknellbison.com/sports/2023/1 ... nt-central I've heard that the teams lose money printing those, so I don't expect we'll see them much longer.

I guess things went pretty much as expected, except I really thought we had a chance at semi-finalists at the first five weights. Nobody in his right mind is going to choose down against Griffin; you have to beat him on his feet, for now at least.

Stanich is one of two wrestlers with two falls in the championship bracket. Ramirez is the other, in less time.

Five Cornell wrestlers had leg wraps, all on the right leg. I think they need to re-think some of their drills. Most obvious was Cornella, whose right leg looked to belong to the Michelin man. After he was injured he needed help from two guys to leave the arena, putting no weight on that leg. I doubt that there's any way he'll be ready for NCAAs; he's certain to receive an at-large bid as long as the new subjective criteria (Wrestler availability (injured or medically unable to compete)) isn't applied too strictly.

I posted this on another thread, but I'll repeat it here. Every team has at least one medalist; first time in recent years.

Finally, and with apologies to Ogden Nash:

Wonder of wonders,
The scoreboards show bout numbers!

**** I still am missing having printed pairing sheets. Yes I know everything is assessable on Flo, but it still sucks not having readily availeble. Just one man’s opinion.

PIAA printed very few programs for individuals. I saw none for teams. PIAA D3 printed none for wrestling or basketball Example:' https://www.roadtohershey.net/wp-conten ... rogram.pdf'

i suppose if one wants it on paper you can print it, even on slick.

By the way, for state Duals, Pa-Wrestling is the way to go. Compares each team with its opponents as they proceed thru the brackets.
