If a guy reaches that point, he does not sign up for a dramatic weight cut, fight off multiple a challengers for the starting spot, miss only one dual in a long hard season, wrestle back thru 5 EIWA bouts to earn a trip to the NCAAs and be ecstatic that he has two more weeks of wrestling and a chance to wrestle the best guys in the country.

Many of the post-match wrestling interviews sound the same.

You surely remember the scene in Bull Durham where Crash Davis instructed Nuke LaLoosh on his cliches. Nuke objected, because they sounded so stupid and boring. "That's the point."
