I guess zero wins vs higher seeded opponents is the biggest shocker on the list here. Granted that's tough for Stanich and Crookham to accomplish as 2 seeds but we didn't have one upset go our way the entire tourney and lost 12 matches to lower seeded guys. Not taking away from some tremendous individual performances (look at what Stanich had to do to medal), you'd have to say it was a disappointing weekend considering where expectations (and seeds) were.

Wins vs higher seeds: 0
Losses vs lower seeds: 12
record vs other top 8 seeds: 4-4
record vs other placers: 4-8

Good season.
Fire in the belly not there at NCAA. Did not do their best. That is disappointing. Otherwise, getting 3 All Americans is a big deal and it was a good season. Better effort next time. These young guys have seen it now. You have to come out aggressive and expecting to win and taking it to your opponent. You cannot just counter wrestle and wait for an opportunity.

This is just an impression, but I had the sense that some guys pulled of a number of upsets by guys did just that, went out aggressive and imposed their game on the opponent. Pasiuk was the 18th seed and he consistently went after people and got 8th place. Some of the others aren't coming to mind, but it struck me as I watched lower seeded guys advance deep in the brackets.

It was common and often. A #26 seed was an All-American.
