A solid addition, everyone has to win a weightclass to wrestle. Rylan is a work in progress, but truly unproven with consistent Top 30 wins. There is still talent out there to get and hopefully they see Rogers coming there as a reason to follow. The team still has too many holes.

125 Seymour, but somebody else could potentially surprise again.
133 Crookham. NCAA Points
141 Open for competition
149 Open for competition
157 Brignola
165 Open for competition
174 Open for competition
184 Open for competition
197 Beard
285 Taylor

I see half the lineup unstable until EIWA. Wrestlers have to emerge. Would love to see Andrew Alirez, Cam Amine, Terrell Barraclough come.

You guys with your fascination with THE CUT, as you sit home nursing a 6-PACK, and a third slice of pizza!

The recent trend, and a healthy one at that is to get bigger/stronger. Only Crookham FITS that profile, as a well proportioned 33LBER,.. along with Taylor who's turning that baby-fat into some serious horse-power. 8-)

You go where you think you can win a spot. So much is once again still unknown, that if you lose at 157, you probably ask Pat a month later to challenge at 165 and so on. I do not see 141 to 184 that stable for the entire season, except possibly 157 Brignola once again holding it down. The rest looks like the Top 2 are razor thin. It will take bouts and seeing wrestlers against Top 40 competition. This means wrestlers need to get out there early in season to Opens and get bouts in. Show Pat what you got.

It is once again going to be an interesting season, but on the upside, it sure looks like we could have 3 All Americans again.

Rohn was one upperweight that moved down with success%%% to 184 an NCAA title.

Others, like Dillon and Nate Brown, had more success moving up a weight.

I think it’s often a combination of finding the best weight while also gaining experience, strength, etc.

With respect to Rogers——- targeting 174/184 fits with the team’s needs and adds to my belief that he is an excellent fit with this year’s recruiting class.

Lastly, the reality of recruiting is there are fewer ‘hits’ than ‘misses’. A guy that gives his all, becomes a starter and an NCAA qualifier and earns two degrees isn’t a bust———some guys simply hit their max.

If you are referencing Logan in this, I mean, wow that is pathetic fandom….actually especially so if you are referencing Logan not Frinzi, although they both have same amount of wins at NCAA tournament….it’s okay to point out that a guy was recruited to be better and the program expected more……no really it is, its actually kind of embarrassing to pretend they gave the program what they were recruited and given a scholarship for……

The question is was it the fault of the coach for the athlete he recruited or the wrestler himself if their “max” isnt good enough? To stay a top program you must have more hits than misses on wrestlers “max”….. where do we stand in that over the last say 8 years?

I’m a huge Lehigh wrestling fan but the excuses and bizarre plaudits this time of year are laughable……

In addition to being 88-0 and a state champion, Logan wasn't taken down in his last two years.

Watching him as a LU wrestler, one would never guess in a million years that he had been a defensive nonpareil.

BTW, no one is advocating RRogers drop to 174. Merely reporting what was said. It’s interesting information and not intended otherwise.

IF he can handle it, it fills a need. Still like the development of Schoppe as a viable option as well.

Guess we’ll just disagree on that completely

Logan & Lawrence were stud recruits for the coaches at that time & that is undisputed.

Not sure how you assess high school performance translation to college success. Probably a 50% success ratio everywhere.

Let’s hope Rogers is on the good side of that ratio but so far no sign of that at 184. Hope he can cut to 174 & spending a little time with Stanich will show what perseverence can accomplish as he had a similar weight pull.
